Just last week, I was named one of Nigeria’s Top 10 Outstanding Young Persons of the Year (JCI 2025).

To my amazement, I was also nominated for the Top 20 JCI Global Young Person Award! I am still in awe, to be honest.

Nigeria is now on the map! 🇳🇬 🎉

And now, I need your help to bring this home.

I am pushing for this so much because my kids need the visibility that this award brings.

It is more than an award for me. It is about our incredible Talent Mine kids — children from the most disadvantaged backgrounds who are every day proofs that education truly transforms lives and communities.

The projects our kids do in their respective communities are all inspiring, and I want the world to see them!

Just last month, our 10- and 11-year-olds built a solar-powered house prototype that won 2nd place in a STEAM competition. They competed against secondary school students!

And Albert & Abdullahi, two boys who were once out-of-school, now run a small after-school class with their small whiteboard, teaching other out-of-school children in their community to read and write.

These stories remind me of how Talent Mine started: just one chalk, one board and four kids. Today, we are giving 80+ children access to 15 years of FREE quality education.

That’s why this award matters. It’s more than a plaque; it’s a pathway to put more children in school, children for whom education is still a luxury.
