Hello my friend,
How are you doing today?
Just yesterday, I was talking with my husband and sharing how many right decisions I’ve made— all because I had a dear mentor in my life.
I met her when I was 18. Her life modelled everything I wanted to become — a beautiful balance of spirituality, family, parenting, relationships, finances, and wise feminine leadership.
Looking back, so many of the decisions, choices, and actions I took as a teen and young adult were as a result of my relationship with her. I honestly don’t think I would be the person I am today without her, and for that, I’m truly grateful.
Earlier today, I was listening to a podcast about a man who became the CEO of a top bank at 33. He mentioned the same thing - how meeting the right people who modelled the right things shaped his entire life and helped him make wise decisions from a young age.
The truth is, many of the right decisions I have made are majorly influenced by the people I am surrounded by.
I told you how difficult it was for me to transition to a free school, but having a strong voice of encouragement and support in my husband made it easier.
So let me ask you, who are you surrounded by?
Are you surrounded by people who constantly talk you and your ideas down?
Or people who encourage you to go for gold?
Your association matters a whole lot and will determine how far you go in life.
So, if you want to make better decisions, look around you.
Your association matters a lot more than you think.
I’ll see you next time. Till then, stay fabulous.
With Love, Aramide
